Controller LED light up help
« on: March 24, 2012, 08:11:27 PM »
Does any one know why wont led's like a  3mm blue , pink, green wont light up using batteries or rechargable battery pak on a CG2 controller ? It only lights up bright with the play charge cable. without it, it lights up just a tiny bit, can barely see it. red, yellow will tho.

Check the forward voltage of your LED's, blue and pink usually need more than 3v. the battery pack is only supplying 3v, where as the pnc is supplying 5v, which is why they are brighter when its plugged in..

what points are you soldering your LED's to? you could wire them to the battery terminal and use a transistor or optocoupler to turn them on/off as the controller turns on and off

Well I guess only red, yellow and orange work for cg2 unless you can do something about it. I just tried it on the matrix controller and light up good.

don;t worry i have fix for that very soon should be out in few weeks you can light up any color leds even the super bright Blue and white that needs 3.3V

Works on any Xbox 360 Controller matrix 1 - 2  and Cg 1 - 2  Build in Power Switch and Boot voltage .

can Power up to 10 Leds at 20mA , or any Rapidfire Chip Device.

Below Mw3 Controller I'm using 1206 Super White LED Min V 3.2 max 3.7  as you can see so bright, you need sunglasses .  HEHE

PS: remmber power come form 2 AA so don;t expect to have unlimited power does controller go thru AA every 24Hr If they On all

the time. if you want to light them up bright price you pay.

I had this same problem I think on this same type of controller. I installed red leds instead, even without resistor, hasnt burned out.
