We have come to the end of our Winter Mod Off Competition. There was alot of entries but only a few completed the final event. There are two contests ongoing, a best controller competition and a Console with controller contest. Please vote for your favorite above!

Below you will find finished videos and work logs of how the mod was done.

The winner of the main contest will receive a new PSP Vita, While the controller contest winner will receive a new controller of choice.

We hope everyone enjoyed the contest and we hope to bring many more contests such as this one throughout the year.

Competition brings out the best and the worst in people. I am so sad today. Everyone who entered the mod off was given a new account to keep everything anonymous. Unfortunately one of our members felt he needed to recruit members from facebook. Asking people to vote for him providing his mod off number, a link to the forum and a note that you needed to register to vote....How is this anonymous? The main rule was broken. Regardless of how I feel about the great mod you did, Entry #8876 has been disqualified. The sad part is he had a very good chance of winning on his own, so many people were proud of what you accomplished as you should be. People make mistakes, hopefully you will learn from this dilemma and not let it tarnish you character.

Its bull:censored: that people actually have to cheat , when they are good at what they do. good call on on the disqualification. It was a very good mod, too bad it came down to this.

I also voted for this mod myself... like you said I believe it easily could of won, even if it was only by one vote.. this was a good mod off competition to see the voting as close as it was.. shows that are member of acidmods was really hard to chose who was the best . as you can see from the remaining mod off entries its still very close. This was the most exciting mod off I have seen due to the voting was so close.


P.S.I am sure that I am not the only one who has a loss of respect or disappointed that someone had to cheat.

That too.. you get what I'm saying though, no more sign up to acidmods just to vote bull. This person should feel ashamed, everyone else is doing the right thing (hopefully) and to take it to that level on something he was probably going to win anyways? wow.

Funny thing, I called this person out on another form of cheating awhile back. (I know your reading this, perhaps you should quit with the cheating all together modoff and non-modoff, obviously it gets you nowhere)

I am as disappointed as everyone else. But we need to move on. I Think the DQ is punishment enough. Everyone makes mistakes when we are young, I just hope he learns from his mistakes.  He did a great mod and I think he is over all a good kid who made a stupid decision. Learn and move on.

at the end of the contest I will assign all posts to their respective real account owners so everyone can see who did what. I have given him the option to claim this mod or not.  That is his decision. I dont want to see any kind of hazing or degrading this entrant any further, It reflects poorly on the site.

as for new contests through the rest of the year, I think we can do multiple small contests with the $5 entry fee. Prizes will be based on the amount of entrants and fees paid. I will get with robin and we can do this in a calendar based system.  As long as there is enough interest we can do a 60 day contest that will just keep going all year. one ends and another starts. we will see.


I voted for the n64 and the psp hybrid. I also voted for the first controller. they are both but I sure would like to get my hands on that custom led controller and pc app wrote for this mod.

I'm. Super happy to hear this. But please, less controller mods. I suck at teny tiny work like that.  I would like to see a computer case mod.  I've always really liked them but something like it must be a mod (using an existing case) and not a custom creation cause I think restrictions produce more creative solutions.

Might be a pain in the ass but seen some really good controller mods out there... personally it should be mod what you want. as long as its pc, console, controller, game related.

   I was disqualified after a family member posted on facebook asking for votes and they
added my id number. I put a comment symbolizing that I accepted what they posted. I
aggread on the unfair advantage that we set up against the other contestants. I am truly
sorry for this and I respect your decision to disqualify me. 

Just like you guys, modding is my passion. I learned a lesson and this set back won't stop
me from joining future contests, infact it only increases my desire to be the best that I can be.
Again, I realize what I did wrong and I am really sorry. I hope everyone can see past this like I have.

I also accept your apology..even though i wasn't able to finish, you would of been the one to beat...you had a good chance at winning. Lets move forward, and see you in the summer mod off hopefully if they have one. 

both 8867 and 7355 and few others i seen would of been hard to beat. thats good competition. see you again in the next mod off.
