Matrix Trident
« on: July 20, 2012, 06:22:09 AM »
Ive just installed a Matrix Trident 'triple nand chip' the chip only has one NAND on the board, but it has 2 separate banks.

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/matrix-trident-v1-for-xbox-360-blue-121598?item=2

I had all sorts of issues with bad blocks on the 2nd nand bank, but i got it sorted out using j-runner

some of the soldering points are off by a few mm, which makes it a little bit harder to solder

onboard NAND - retail

1st NAND bank - freeboot

2nd NAND bank - TX Fusion

its cheap but does the job.

here is a video booting into Fusion

Xecuter Fusion v1.0.9

as always nice install phantom

if your in the states also sell them faster shipping then dealextreme DX shipping can be horrible at times
i always wanted to try it out but the whole 3 nands was humorous until fusion came out
keep up the good work

yeah it took about 2 weeks to get here, but its cheaper than all the places here. the only place that sells them in aus wants $45 for one, plus paying for postage

I just got a ghost case, opened it up and its missing the top and bottom grill and trim pieces which sucks. so they are sending me the missing parts.

it was the biggest pain in the ass to get together.. but it looks good in the end.
