DIY ICSP board for 12c508/509 and 12f683

Wanting to know if this diagram would program a 12c508/9 508a/509a and the 12f683.
gonna be getting a pickit2 so would this work in programming the pic stated above?

I think that's probably more than you need for the chips you listed.

For the 8 pin chips you should just be able to wire like...

Header 1 -> Pin 4
Header 2 -> Pin 1
Header 3 -> Pin 8
Header 4 -> Pin 7
Header 5 -> Pin 6

yeah i was gonna use this a reference and use a 8 dip socket instead of the 20 dip in the picture.

Edit: I've built my icsp board. Ugly looking thing but i had my wiring wrong but now it works! just gotta wait on my pickit2.
