The fatter the wire the more trouble you will have to go to in order to close the psp back up. Most psp modders use 30awg kynar, I know a few that would use enamel coated wire but I wouldn't recommend that.

This is the easiest mod (that requires soldering) that you can perform on a phatty, have fun and good luck :victory:
