7 mode matrix
« on: June 06, 2013, 09:15:48 AM »
Here is my wonderful install of King Mike's 7 mode matrix. I will be doing a full review when I figure out all the details. As with all the stuff I have gotten recently, details provided where very vague .lol.

Oh and yeh I wanted to post this so Matt could have a good time with my wiring :)  :drunk:

Yes it needs some hot glue loving. Just testing before glue it all down.

the diodes are bare wires, cut the leads shorter and protect them from the main IC.

and cut your fingernails.

Rofl. I was going to cover them with hot glue.

How the hell did you know those marks where from my nails? They are not that long, cheap wire was melting back as I was soldering.

@ Rodent. No body told me that so I found a spot haha.

lmao is it weird that i enjoy reading your comments haha

yes yes and yes
that pcb was made for the back parts of the shell not the xb controller pcb

Yeh I see where it should go now but I can say even If i had known that it would still be where it is now. It would be a pain to wire it up from the back of the shell.

I will be insulating the diodes before I put it back together. Thanks but that was already planned as well as gluing down the wiring .

As for my nails... I dont see how any of that is relevant to the controller but yeh sure.

wow!!! I just notice the left trigger.....

and the fingernail comment cam e from the way all the wire sheathing is broken just before the solder point. this is generally due to you holding the wire down with a sharp tool or fingernail, when you solder the heat transfers to this weak point.

If you are reffering to the burn on the pot then its dust. Looks like some one replaced the pot before and did not clean up the flux.

Lets try this again , my last comment got removed I guess.

All I have is my Radio shack 30 watt. That is what I must use. I am aware it is to hot for most small applications. It is also just right for my larger repairs and RC related jobs. Thanks for the input though..
