need tech knowledge help.

So I made a eeprom reader/writer for the Xbox but mybproblem is my computers Dont have a 9 pin d sub connection. My question is can I just buy a adapter (9 pin male d sub to 15 pin female vga adapter)? I'm curious if this would work or if this would screw up the connections as I have diodes and resistors hooked up? If anyone knows anything about this it would be much appreciated.

No, it would never work. The HD15 connector on your PC is a video output, not a serial Input/Output COM port like the DB9 connector is.

You'll need a USB - 232 adapter cable so you can have a VCP, Virtual Com Port.
