What is the best flashcard?
« on: January 18, 2009, 03:20:34 PM »
ok guys I'm getting a ds again soon to replace my old broken one.  I used to have a flash card (ezflash V) but it doesn't support sdhc and that's what I have.  So what do you guys think is the best card on dealextreme?

So far I was looking at the following

Acecard (heard this brand is good)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.18728
TTDS (heard this brand is also good)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15613
R4III (heard R4 brand was good)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16929
EZFlash V Plus SDHC (if the previous worked great why not the new one?)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13683
R6DS Gold (has built in motion sensor)

id say ttds is a good choice because its menu is easy to use but another good flashcart is the n5ds its like an r4 but the manufactures still update the firmware

No you don't. Just plug and play

I ended up ordering both the super card dsone and the dstt since they were both so cheap. I wouldn't be doing this if my EZFLASHV wasn't acting up.

i have a AceKard2i it is really kool. All you have too do is get the firmware
"Ak_4.3" at the root of the micro sd and the OP system. Then if you want
costom skins you go to AceKard.com search skins find the 1 you want and
download it. "its in ZIP file format" so unZIP it put the skins in the firmware
as "ui" and there it is your skin in the "SYSTEM OPTIONS" and you can make
your one skins too... im making a ZELDA one

Umm You should go with CycloDs.. in my opinion it has to be the best flash card ever made.
Do not go with the R4!! all R4's are fake and stupid the original team that started making R4's gave up on them after a couple of months and it's very rare to get one of there originals and not worth it.

Anybody else have an opinion on these?
I looked into the CycloDS and they're pretty expensive...looking for cheaper options, if available.

Clyco has an almost identical equivalent....the EDGE.  It's cheaper and seems to be almost an exact copy of the Cyclo.  It's not a fake Cyclo though.  I think the BIGGEST differences are the Cyclo's save-state ability....and the in-game menu.....i think...

You might jes wanna look up the EDGE.

I currently have the ez flash iv and r4i gold 3ds for gba and ds games on my NDS lite.
They are quite good flashcarts for these games. Sound to be great choice for someone who prefers to the retro games like me.
