DS4 jdm-030 wont turn on

Hello folks,

I haven't another controller to comparison atm,so may someone help me to determine the voltages of this spots ?

also it will be very useful if tell me the source of(arrow pointed one)trace comes from.



symptoms:

-wont turn on w/ fully battery
-wont turn on directly(via cable) w/o battery
-ribbon connecting and usb connector are OK
-there isnt any hot area/ic when controller is connected

let me know if you need more info.

I went the source of pin 17;under de chip
may it come from the other side of de board ?

There is no 'source' for pin 17. You wanted to know where the spot you marked came from.

Large Inductor (your marked spot), Pin 17, Capacitor, that's all that is on that trace.



Now the other side of that large Inductor is a different story. It goes thru another Inductor, and then to pins 13 and 14, and it also goes to an internal layer somewhere.

Whats de role of pin 4 ?(it going to ARM ic)



I fixed power problem but now my controller wont recognise by windows(failed driver).

Your pinout there is backwards and missing a pin.




1 - GND
2 - LED BLUE
3 - LED RED
4 - LED GREEN
5 - LED VCC
6 - GND
7 - 5v USB
8 - 5v USB
9 - GND
10 - D- USB
11 - D+ USB
12 - GND

I have no idea, because pin 4 on your diagram is LED Red.

That FFC cable can become damaged if you remove and reinsert it even 1 time. I'd look at it first and make sure the 'fingers' (contacts) of it are still good on both ends, because they can easily be damaged and peel up.

all voltages are now OK(regulator replaced) and the ds4 work correctly on win environment.
my new problem is, it wont recognise by ps4 anymore!!

so I have no idea too.I dont give up.ill report here if I found any success
