JDM-055 not working, not charging anymore only work with usb cable

i used a cell phone fast charger, so thats the problem right there.
Now is there something it can be done? a resistor or fuse? or I leave it for parts.

If it killed only the charging ability, but the USB data lines and powering it from the USB cable are still intact, that seems odd, as all of the power regulation and charging is handed by a single chip in there.

There is a fuse on the small JDS board, the USB/LED board, but if it were bad you couldn't power it from the USB cable as that would kill the 5v to the controller completely.

Which fast charger exactly? Some of those are still 5v and that shouldn't have done anything to it. The 9v ones might not cause any issues, but since you can't find any datasheets on the chips Sony uses in these things it's only guesswork as to what can actually take or does what in there. Some of those faster chargers I could see them causing issues for sure as they can be 20v and I doubt the DS4 was designed with them in mind.

Plug in the controller and put a drop of alcohol on IC s2pg001a see if it evaporates quickly?

I made it from a JDM-055 board (1-982-707-31) that I stripped down. It is not a complete schematic, it is missing most of the passive component values and would be pretty useless without images of the way I designated the components on the board. When/If I finish it, or just get sick of working on it, then I may post it.

You need any measure in working 055 controller?

Measuring the component values with them on the board will not be accurate.
