JDM 011 burned IC after polarity reversal
« on: July 22, 2022, 05:59:47 PM »
Hi,

Long time lurker, first time poster, first of all thanks anyone for all your advice

I've got a 011 which arrived in my hands with a note "Polarity reversed".
I've ordered a new battery but i also need to replace an IC which died. Does anyone have info on a part number? It looks like a LDO but can't detemine the type for sure..

Thanks in advance and have a nice day !

Not an LDO, it's a TVS array for the USB data lines. Not sure of the exact part number or a suitable cross for it right now, but you can just remove it for a test to make sure everything works good before hunting for a replacement or snagging one from a donor board.

I decided to take a picture for posterity, in case anyone needs to see the component in the future.

It says 6.8 and there are three points below the "8" and only one below the "6". No idea what they mean yet xd
