« on: September 03, 2020, 03:29:50 PM »
Hi sorry ive been trying to look through here but can't find a solution. Both triggers are constantly pressed and can't work out whats wrong. I haven't touched the magnets. Does anyone know a fix to correct the problem ?

You haven't touched them, but does that also mean they have never been touched?

Check the VCC on both of the Hall Sensors, U10/U11, pin 1. It's a pulsed 3.3v, but will measure around 1v with a DMM.

If that voltage isn't there, could be one of the Hall Sensors is bad or U9 is bad or the MCU that tells u9 to turn on is bad or any of the support components or traces that connect all of that mess together could have an issue.

Hi.

I need to replace the hall sensors u10/u11,  how to search them? What's their name replacement part?

EDIT: I have an old broken 1537 controller (with working triggers). Can i take the hall sensors and solder them in the 1708 controller?

@ wickated - It is the correct naming. They are not PFETs, they are Hall Effect Sensors, and the part number also denotes the Sensitivity of them.

@Worf - Yes the Hall Sensors are the same for all versions of the controller so far.

Replaced and problem is still there. I have this behaviour, when connecting to pc (I'm using x360ce for testing) and doing nothing there is no iteraction as it should be. When I start to press any button, analog stick, pad direction, etc etc, left trigger will start constantly pressed.

Right trigger is completely turned off.

Update the controller first.
