JDM-001 - Share button is pressed randomly sometimes
« on: July 25, 2021, 02:22:36 PM »
Hi there!

In my JDM-001 DS4, the share button is pressed occasionally. So, I don't found "dead short" on the PCB on the share button point.

However, it seems that voltage is changing between 0.5 and 2.5 volts. And when the voltage is less than 0.5, the button is activating, but not always. :beg:

Comparing the others buttons, like the options button and the touch button, I found 3.2v.

Any idea about this issue?

Tks a lot!

There is most likely some corrosion inside the Tact switch making it act more like a Resistor instead of an open/close switch. Either replace it, or you can try to peel the top off of it and clean the contacts inside, then use a piece of tape to hold it back in place. Your mileage may vary with that method.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

After a good clean, the voltage rose to 2.9. I'll clean more neatly to get better.

It seems that the problem was really contact

Thank you very much.
