1708 Controller
« on: September 02, 2021, 01:56:40 PM »
I have a 1708 controller that powers on for 5 seconds and powers off. I tried new batteries as well as a usb cable and still not working. What would you recommend to check where it is failing?

Tear it down. Look for anything burnt up or physically damaged first. If it all looks good, then plug up just the top board with the USB cable and see what voltages U1, U2 and U3 are putting out. The schematic for that thing is in the pinned 1708 thread also.

Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
