1708 no power when black lead connector plugged in?

can anyone help please? was getting no power wired or with batteries so i took it apart, it powered up wired but as soon as I connect the power board to the analog board with the black internal lead/connector i get no power? does anyone know why and how i can fix it? thank you in advance, Nick

its something oe analog board as ive tried with 2 known working power boards and it is doing the same

Could be any number of things. First place to start looking is just all over the board for anything that doesn't look right. After that, I'd inject 3.3v into the 3.3v rail of the bottom board alone and see what gets hot first. Might just be a shorted Capacitor causing it, might be a fragged MCU or could be anything in between.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
