BDM-010 led search

Hello Everyone

i'm completly new in repair of DS5.
I made a lot of error but it make me stronger for futur if i need to fix it again ;)

i bought a controler and the seller told me the light blue was broken.

i try to fix myself but i brake the RGB led

i search it with few word as 'led repair, smd dualsens' but nothing.

I would like to know if this little piece is sell somewhere please ?

could you tell me how do you know this reference ? i called Sony and no one could answer me

it's now time for me to buy it and try to fix it

I had no idea exactly what it was until I saw your post and went looking for it. It's just an LED, Common Anode and RGB, so I started looking thru the ones at DigiKey that fit those requirements and there it was.

As soon i read your post, i place an order and receive it next day.

it's now for me to play and weld it . i have no time for moment but i will post if i fail or if i succes

Hello RDC, everyone


this post to say i succes my solder and ..... it works !!!

BUT ... it's my first micro solder. I apologize if sombody get affraid about only 4 points very huggly
i'm shure i could do better but when i test and saw the light blinking red/orange i waaaaaaaaaas soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy so i decide to touch nothing else.




i met some problem , in fact , the LED started about disintegrate on corner and the front protector light move a little.
My iron was at 365 degree celcius , under , my tin move nothing but i know what to do to try next if i brake it again

nothing was possible without your help, i already say it but thank you to help other people
