Which Resistor is this?
« on: April 29, 2025, 05:03:15 PM »

Simply put:

What ohm resistance is this 201 resistor next to the right joystick?

Backstory: Trying to replace one that came off a board. Tried to get readings on other boards with the capacitor in place, but they are a little all over the place. One read 41k, then 25k, then 41k again. Then another read 470k, then 27k. Then another read 503k. So, I will remove one and test to get a better reading I thought. First two flew away trying to get a reading. Then I put it on tape from a 3rd one, and couldn't get a reading at all. Then same thing, couldn't get a reading on another one I removed. So now I have 5 boards without this resistor (I must have damaged them too?) I know my multimeter is good, because I have an array of 201 resistors from a kit, and they test spot on.

After more research, I found out it's a capacitor, which reads 139nF. I can just replace it with a 100nf 10v maybe?
