JDM-011 + JDM-040 no charging help.
« on: August 16, 2025, 10:37:50 AM »
Hi All,
I have a no power / light issue with x2 controllers, JDM-011 and JDM-040. I have inspected the boards and there dont seems to be any blown chips or any visual damage.

I have checked with a usb meter connected to the laptop, the JDM-011 draws voltage arond 5v and 0.777a. So it seems like its charging.
Conencting the charging port board to the usb meter seems to be ok, as the meter shows 5v / 0.0016a draw.
Holding down the Reset button the 5v remains but the amp drops to around 0.0237a, so the reset button seems to be responding if that makes sense.

When connectnig the charging board to the mainboard, the BD9200 4262 chips gets very hot. Could this be faulty and should I replace it? and do you think it will fix the issue and it will power on?
I am also looking to replace the ribbon cables and charging ports as they ribbon connecters look like they are peeling away, avoid the risk of them shorting out.

The JDM-040 draws no power, doesnt show any movement on the usb meter. Conencting the usb charging board disconnected, the usb meter amp registers 0.000a compared to just pluggin in the jdm-011 board alone, could the usb port be faulty on the jdm-040? hopefully it is a quick fix if so. Anything else I can check but since the port looks like it not charging im not sure what to test check next?

I can post picture if need.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks.
