This is the second part of the story of me buildg the doc oc mod this is where I start to loose it

Just had to share this.

So it worked but I knocked one off befor I could glue it. Hopefully I'll be uploading a vid of a snes controller working on this tomorow.

Oh and you should of used Kynar instead of magnet wrap it's alot more flexable and forgiving..

Yeah, for sure. I got the sholder buttons too.

I spent ages wiring then rewiring this today, because I thought there was some kind of short that was making it reboot. Turned out I just wasnt pressing the on switch propperly

Nicely done - What are you going to do in regards to the interfacing (ie. making it detachable) as Ive been meaning to do this with the PSP for a while just havent been able to think of a good socket.

At the moment its hardwired, but I'll be using multiple mini usb sockets. It could work with one small multipin socket like an idc, I've used one of those befor, the only problem is the pins pull out, I fixed it with glue but its not ideal. I wont to be able to use mini analoge sticks (like joe's) aswell, hence the mini usbs.

I'd thought of that but the only place you could have them is at the top of the PSP (which looks cool) but you need 3 (which doesn't) :knockout:

Seeing as your PSP is open could you check and see if it is possible to fit 3 USB sockets behind the area of the screen that the single socket currently occupies?

Its not open now but I can tell you you could defanatly fit them on the right hand side above the batery cover clip thing. Theres loads of space there.

Little update. . .

thats arived today, I've got a clear case coming to match (I am so fashion baby). Just got to wate for the rest of the parts now. I am so exited about this mod it keeps me awake at nigh. What a fing nerd

Cant resist posting another pick. Heres the controller with the psp attatched. I used one of those bendy things for putting pdas on windscreens.

Nicely done - I would have used different execution though as holding the PSP via the controller like that is going to get tiring.

I was a bit concerned about that but the controller's really light, time will tell though. I also plan on using it as a stand, then plugging in my moded snes controller.

Forgot to ask - You got any pics of that handy? What would be great is pics or a reference guide to what free space there actually is inside a PSP.

Also, for those of you that open and close yours on the regular how is the dust behind the screen? I only opened mine once to mod the Dpad and it was a

Update. . . I just broke a track on the dpad. So I hastily got on ebay a bought a replacement, hoping this wouldnt slow me down to much. Then I checked the bill . . . there in

ing hong kong. So this could take a while. Grrrrrrrr
