my desktop: stack bins in the dock w/ icons, custom dock pattern (black marble)
snake background, and memory, hd, cpu, fan, and temp istat readers in my toolbar :3
also my background changes between these two every minute:

running schweet leopard 10.5.4

dock items: finder, dashboard (disabled, though, to save resources), safari, adium, mail, itunes, coversutra, vmware fusion, system prefs
dock stacks (all with bin w/ icon): downloads, pics, movies, music, docs, ilife apps, other apps, microsoft office 2008, and school work (but my work was put in my docs, so i will fill next semesters stuff in it)

i updated my post w/ my dock item names

thats coversutra, to control itunes with keyboard macros, so i can browse safari, and only hit shift+right arrow to go to the next song...
also has a finderbar icon, a heart, and you can type album, artist, or song to pull up your itunes from any space or windows

easy to control itunes when im on the go (otherwise i use my mediaboard)

i used siro for about 3 weeks, but got bored...

it seemed flat, awquard buttons.. as it does not utilize the vector scheme of aqua which is nice
