dont know,i think itll be easy as long as you get a jewel with the metal brackets on it,or snap it off and put it on the jewel.neubit will find a way tho =p
matt in my last pic look under the nub you can get a nice idea of the coloring from that.

I think the real difference becides the pictures on the back is the "No." thing on the UMD door, its etched in... but I'm no expert, just seen a lot of pictures...

the No. XXXXX is wat number was it like 1-77,777. hard to explain but something like the one with No.00001 os the first cc psp while the one with No. 77,777 is the last one it made or the 77,777th cc psp.

MY SLIM!!! I might keep my warrenty on this one tho, and pick up another slim, or just mod this one a little. As you can see, I put in a custom theme *cookies and ducks- the ducks name is millferd* and its 3.71 but not 3.71 m33, I didnt want to do that because it has illegal fetures etc

i notice on the starwar psp, darth vader is cut off unlike hte prototype.
anyways, i had my psp for a while, heres mine, 3.71 m33-2 nothin special, just a very glossy back. when my blue slim arrive, ill take pics of it after my replacment camera arrive. i used my old crappy one to take this one.

Yea I keep opening that poor thing on a daily basses. I even bought another one so that I could always have something to mess with while that one os open on the table. Right now its in pieces again, doing the USB power mod and didn't finish last night. Can't wait for clear faceplates for the slim though...

Spray paint. What's wrong you noticed my two scratches. Looks fine to me otherwise! :confused:
Edit: Edhel asked me about the button mod. All I did was drill at an angle and installed the LED's. You have to also cut some plastic near the X button to clear the wire.

the button bars for the fat psp fit nicley i think i read it on a post here actually cant remeber who tho creds to them for pointing it out aswell but yea fat psp button bars do fit the slim

its not white, its felicia blue. thats one thing i like about that color, cuz theres two colors, hehe.
anyway, if you want a regular white, you can get them on ebay fro japan. but i warn you, you have to be careful.
the only prob with getting a reg white is its not worth the money to. cuz there is white in america, you acually lose money to get one. it cost about 220+ shipped and it comes with nothing but the psp, and the charger compare to the 220 with tax here and you get a game with it.
i paids 210 cuz i barely found a good deal, but i only bought it for the color. in japan it only cost 160 usd.

you can get them on EBAY.
either that, playasia.com, yesasia.om, renchi.com or import from a friend.
if you dont want the darth vader, theres another option, get tyhe darthvader and get a battery coevr part.
i got mines off of ebay ofr 210 shipped. the guy dont sell it anymore tho.

awww come on is easy to get that sticker off without messing up the VOID stuff, you just need the right tools.... Problem was when I modded mine and it was appart on my desk I missed not having it so I bought another one..... :tup:

Yes you are correct, those are the original buttons on the Star Wars PSP Slim. I don't plan on opening this one up anytime soon like my PSP Phat who's fate is almost gone, a bad connection with the LCD screen was the reason I just bought a new, **Refurbished**, PSP. ($169.99, I think it was a good deal)

why don't you try and spray that faceplate so it matches. as long as you cover the screen and the led ports, then you should be fine.

tape the back side of the screen as well or the overspray will coat it in a haze. I already made that mistake.

Na, i already tried and failed. Thought white spirit would do the trick but ended up frosting the inside so now it's unusable (won't do that again). Might be able to replace it but i have to see what i've got lying around the gaff.

Thanks Guys! The ring wasn't that bad to remove. just used a small flat knife to get under the ring and slowly moved the blade around the outside. came off without bending the ring.(done that so many times :angry: )

That's sweet looking psp dude! it sounds like the trigger and the home bar isn't seatted right. take the faceplate off and make sure the home bar is connected correctly, the trigger sticky pad also might not be placed right, so i'd check that as well or the trigger supports maybe interfering with it if that hasn't been placed correctly. As for the Umd door, did you replace the little spring back in the white plactic part inside the top of the umd door? if you miss that out it won't shut correctly, but i've heard some people missed it and it works fine.

No Problem dude! (Feel free to click the good post next to my name, lol) unfortunatly Those parts are for the PSP Phat and wont work on your slim. i can't say i've seen a home bar replacement yet, but i might have missed it. i'll see what i can find for you. :tup:

i've seen a homebar and other ribbon cables for the slim on ebay. pricey though, £10 ~ $20

I figured out on my psp that my home bar really wasn't messed up.
It was just the L button that messed with it.(Yeah, I still haven't been able to buy the part yet. )

dude, try this for your trigger (i had to do the same for mine) try added some fabric tape to the bottom of the trigger. i found after my psp was modded that the left trigget didn't work very well so i added some F tape to the bottom and now it works a treat. give that a try. :)

LOL! thanks guys. if you two have the parts, make it. it's such a nice look for a slim. white and blue would rock! never seen a psp with that colour scheme before, so if you can, build it. :) Red and blue is and intresting one as well and i have the parts for that, so i might post that up later.
show us a few pic's when you have modded the slim Jumbo, would like to see how that turns out. Same to you, anthonyta. if your going to get a new psp slim and you want the blue trim. why not get the clear blue case from coolmods or the light blue case from DX. now that would be sweet!

It doesn't really matter who claimed it. as long as you like the look then that should be fine. besides, it not like you three are going to bump into one another at the same time as using your psp's. saying that, it would be funny if that were you happen.

you could also add some stencel work to the back or someone could add leds under the buttons. anthonyta white/blue psp looks great. that led fader under the umd works well with the trim. very nice.
not to say jumbo's isn't but i noticed your wifi swich is still silver. :confused:

OMFG!!! that psp looks almost the same as mine!!! I´m still working on it though and my buttons are black instead of silver
oh and I have shoulder leds and my ring of light will be red and yellow/orange :P

Just finished my Photofast CR-3100 internal mod. Had to give this one ago, it's pretty simple.. apart from when you have to get the memory card in the port. got to a point when i was shouting "why wont you fit!" at the psp a few times. after 15 min's and a smoke, i managed to get the :censored: in, lol!
the upload speed is great compared to other mods of this type, tho there is some lag when i open my videos and pics on the XMB, but if it means you can have pretty much everything you want and have space to spare then it's a fair compromise.

Thanks dude, the cable is already connected to the adapter, which makes things alot easier to install. i'm now loading the thing up with music, videos, ect. So much space dude, it's brilliant. :)

Na, it only takes sd/sdhc cards but you can have more space with this. that i'm aware of you could have two 32gb cards giving you 64gb to play with. i know this works on CFW as the memory limit was removed but i don't think it works with OFW, 32bg is the max.

Jumbo, nice psp! :tup: The leds in the down and X buttons look sharp, really lightens up the controls :) not too sure about the jewel tho, the psp logo seems too small. you could get one of those dark gunmetal rings from focalprice and turn it into a sweet ROL.

Tamiya is a good paint. i used it on a mates psp. turned out really nice. just make sure to put at least 2-3 layers of clear gloss so it protects the paint underneath.

Same make. Tamiya make clear gloss in a spray paint. Thats what i use and it works very well dude.

i've always wanted to the fader, but malaysia currency arent that strong. now $1 = RM3.80.. so for me the fader is dem expensive.
other alternative are to build it urself.. :cry2:

Yes i did. you could build one. all you would have to do is find the right chip to use and figer out which pins you should use (also if you need resistors which i reckon you'll need).

i know what you mean. i'm making a usb right analog at the mo. nearly done now (well, when i get the bloody thing working. everything is wired up but i haven't cut the traces on the joystick yet).

Its kinda hard for me to swap the leds. Sound sensitive is easier. Just connect LEDs to speakers or connect to sound board.

I usually just do the direct connect. It reacts great for me.

You should do direct connection. Usually I just connect 1 wire to each + and - of the speakers then connect all the leds to those wires. Hold on, I'll make a simple diagram.

I have 2 Lm386s installed in 2 PSPs and they put out a lot of heat. Good thing I have a switch on them.

Lol but the thing is, I wired it wrong by accident which is why it started overheating... It ended up drawing so much power or something that everytime I turned on my board, the power led went out but the psp stayed on, lol.

I was trying to wire 2 for stereo once and I wired one wrong and the Lm386 started overheating too. I had electric tape around it so the tape started to smoke.

you can run into problems with direct...
and yeah but ive read that ppl blew thier speakers or leds

I don't think the speakers have enough volts to blow the LEDs and I been doing direct connection for all my PSPs and other people's PSP and they are working fine. One time, I did have one psp have a blown speaker fuse but i bridged it and it works fine now.

Wow that post was so messed up I had to read it several times to get it... Direct will probably not blow your leds, amp is actually brighter due to the fact that it's got that extra 5v, EVERYBODY says direct reacts better, and "pros" all use different ways. There's no right or wrong, just personal preference.

but i would have to say re doing the amp is better then doing direct or coming up wit a way to do direct but wit resistors and other stuff
i am doing both direct wit some surprises and lm386 or some other amp to re do the sound board well wish me luck it might take a long time

I don't know why, but there's something about UV and Silver that works so well when put together. I like how you positioned the CR-3100 in the Umd brace, makes it alot easier to access the cards. I might try that. how did you sercure the Cr-3100 on the brace?

Its glued to a hinge that's glued to the case at the bottom of Cr-3100 and its just sitting on the H frame so it can slide across the bottom and lift it up when opened.

Replaced some LEDs in my friend's PSP. The sound fuse blew out so I had to do all the LEDs over again.

I've got a PSP slim which isn't finished yet.

Yellow buttons (red L+R)
Going to spray my transparent UMDdoor yellow, get the UMDring off, and place red LEDs in the UMDdrive.
That will give a red glowing ring on a yellow door :D

My first ever modded PSP. So far I've added CFW 5.00m33-6 (naturally), done a case swap (black -> silver), added USB Charge, and did a LED swap on the MS indicator light (orange -> UV). I plan on replacing the silver buttons with clear ones, adding LEDs in the shoulder buttons and face buttons, backlighting the analog nub, and doing an LED swap on the Wifi LED (all with UV LEDs).
After that, I'm going to try and sell it. I'll post another pic when it's totally finished.

I finally got a Slim :hifive: ! I traded it for my old phat and installed 5.00 m33-6 CFW on it. How can you have a PSP without custom firmware? :confused: I'll post photos of it when I do some mods to it. .

It's been sometime since i have modded a PSP which i have massivly missed doing, however i'm in the middle of modding my own psp slim after all this time. It's going to be simlier to the NightShade line of psp's but it will have a green trim and a new black case. i'm still thinking of having green buttons, but i'm not sure yet. After that i've got some new comers to the whole psp modding asking for work so next year you should all see loads of newly modded psp's, hopefully with some new never before seen mods.

Heres My psp 2k, Backplate by Crumbz and mirror in the UMD with clear faceplate.i havent done much, but i will most likely be putting ring of lights and trigger lights. and black trim because its blue now lol.

Well seeing that nobody has posted anything in a long time, im showing you my recently modded PSP Slim, im not new into console modding i've owned 3 PSP's in the past but 2 of them got stolen and the third one got completely broken, i hope i keep this one long enough to finish it, i had this one for free because of a D-pad problem wich resulted in a faulty D-pad connector, i transplanted a NES controller D-pad because i could not think of a better solution and i didnt had any cash to buy a new D-pad connector, so anyways, i had the PSP completly pulled apart and i started modding it, so far i have this things done,
Audio amplifier with better speakers.
UMD drive completly removed.
Window on UMD door.
Sound reactive and static led on the UMD.
Case completely sanded.
Speaker holes on the UMD door.
USB charge mod, because i didnt had the wall charger
and obviously the D-pad fixed.
and i want to add this things.
i want to add an internal composite cable jack, i mean to put the resistors and the capacitor that the composite cable has, in the inside of the PSP and use a 3.5 jack to output the Video Audio.
better speakers.
better led's
and some other things.
