Title: Psp button bar problem
Post by: vikilla on January 14, 2009, 09:37:06 PM
I've got a problem with the home button and volume buttons, they don't work. If I press it, it doesn't do anything. I've took out the ribbon cable and put it back in, but that didn't help.

Is there some plugin I can use to replace those buttons with different ones?

At this point in time, the only choice you have is to replace the whole ribbon bar. I experience this problem once before and by replacing the ribbon bar, I fix the problem. You can pick one up on e-bay for cheap. Unfortunately, there is no way of repairing the original part but to replace. Good Luck...

Go to dealextreme.com (http://dealextreme.com) or focalprice.com (http://focalprice.com) as they have cheap ribbon cables and they have free shipping worldwide.

I wouldent use dealextreme. The products there are sometimes very cheaply made. Thats why they are so cheap to buy. In other words, they are low quality.

seems like you need a new one.

i bought a broken psp once and found that most of the buttons work except for the home button.
it actually turned the lcd off (but i could still hear the menu).

replaced it, and all is well again :)

try psxboy.com
