Try another stick, or just open up the hole in the shell a bit so it can move farther.

I'm sorry if this is the wrong spot, but my question pertains to Xbox controllers. I have a Hyperkin Xenon 360 controller that needed a right stick replacement. I did that, however up does not go all the way. It will go to around 80% or so. Is there something I can do to increase the range on that axis?

Hi, I have a bdm-40 controller replaced thumbsticks now the right stick is constantly up and left. Does not look like the traces are damaged, I don?t have a scope but too the naked eye it does not look damaged. I?ve read through all the posts and see people have had the same issues on different model boards and put jumper wires on. Could anyone point me in the right direction for the bdm40 version please.

I will attach some pictures of my controller.

I have a second controller which is also a bdm 40 and the create button was always pressed I changed it and it worked for a couple of mins then constantly presses again if I could fix one out of 2 that would be good if both can be fixed that would be awesome!  Any help is appreciated

Hi

So I have retested again and all readings for resistance is 00.8 ohms. I have the DMM set to 200ohms setting. The beeping I was getting was when I had it set for testing for continuity(saw that in a vid and thought it was what I needed to test).

I have also tested ADDR(pin 18) on U4 . I had the black lead connected to a metal frame and the red lead on pin 18 but I'm getting no voltage. Reading 00.1 when set on 20V setting on my DMM. I think this is the problem. But want to test the below to rule this out.

I don't know how to test the SCL and SDA lines. Where do I connect them and am I correct in saying that if I'm testing  resistance then I must not have power connected?

I think it's pin 19 & 20 to pin 7 on J1. Am I correct?

Maybe this will help.

Pin 18 ADDR have 0V it needs 3.3v.
I made a bridge cable from pin 23 to pin 18. I scrappe near some circles that have continuity close (pins are small for me) so here is my result work. My controller wors now. Sorry english not first languaje and lazy to grammar check.

Two capacitors on my BDM-010 controller were crushed during a Joystick hot-swappable modification, causing the adaptive triggers on the right side of my controller to completely stop working.

I want to know the capacitance values ​​of these two capacitors so I can replace them and restore my controller to normal operation. (Pictures are here.)

Did some repair job but still controller is compeltely dead not turning on with either fully charged battery or connecting USB cable, ALL THESE VOLTAGE VALUES ARE WITH THE BATTERY PLUGGED IN, I CANT GET ANY POWER WITH THE USB CORD, ill try to get a brand new cable since im not sure this USB cable wotks 100%, it feels a bit wobbly, anyways...

All 3 fuses near the battery connector were dead, i jumpwired them all and now i have voltage going through that part of the circuit, tested some values and what i get is in the pictures, wondering if that squared IC on top of the board after the fuses is just dead, i dont get any readings on the caps located at the very top of that IC, only a low oscilating value from .90 to 1.2v on the right side cap shown in the pic.





on the front side of the board i swapped the A32  component and now im getting these values, on the other side of the board where the main ARM IC is located i get some 3.7v and some 1.3v readings but im not sure if these are correct, i havent been able to find exactly what values should i get on that side, any help appreciated.

Hi there, I have a bdm 40 controller replaced thumbsticks, put it all back together rumble motors don?t work at all no rumble, wires are soldered correctly, looked over the board can?t seem too find any missing components can anyone point me in the right direction.

PS4 / JDM-011 controller wont turn on after battery cables shorted

I was just replacing the potentiometers on this controller, replaced the 1rst one and put it back bare bones to test and it worked fine, then after i was done replacing the 2nd one, plugged my "testing" battery in, it didn't turn on when plugged the USB cable or pressing the PS button, then i realized one of the cables on the battery was lose from the soldering pad and im sure it touched the other pad causing a short, after that i grabbed the board and it was incredible hot at this particular spot i circled in red, specifically that 4 legged component was SO HOT it actually hurt my finger, i put a drop of alcohol on top of it and i even heard a "HISSSSSS" due to how hot that thing was, so i disconnected the battery and removed that component, tested the area around for any signs of other component shorted or hot and everything seems normal.

With that component out of the PCB i plugged the battery in and tested for voltages and on those 4 legs i get these values:

Leg 1 : ground
Leg 2 : 3.9 v
Leg 3 : .53 v
Leg 4 : 3.9v

However, when i test for voltages on another controller, that same 4 leg component reads 3.9v on Leg 3 in my picture, i dont know if this is supposed to be correct and that component has to be on the PCB to have 3.9v output in Leg 3, would like to know this before salvaging that 4 leg component from another board.
