  • Jack lo svelto: Hi guys, I need your help. My JDM 055 has extreme right drift. That is, it remains fixed to the right without trembling, motionless. under the microscope I noticed the lack of capacitors c23 and c24. They may be the cause. I saw that they are connected to the headphone jack input. Can you tell me their value? Thank you.

If LSC is stuck pressed, look for a short on the LSC line somewhere.  C26 or R33 could be bad/damaged.

The RB spots are the same as last year. - https://acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,43981.msg339603.html#msg339603

This assumes you mean the left stick as the user when the controller is assembled.

the things I notice are:

  • In the middle there are 2 extra connections on the playstation
  • in the xbox the placement of the stick is offset to the other
  • The left stick is near some RF shield stuff, possibly the bluetooth IC

The 3D Model would be a TSOT23-5, but if you're asking what component it is, no idea, but it's some kind of TVS device on the USB data lines.

Instead of a direct answer, lets get some neurons firing....

Look at the second picture here - https://acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,44714.0.html

Then look at the fourth picture here - https://acidmods.com/forum/index.php/topic,43981.0.html

Just pick say the Left stick of each board, and tell me what you notice. Besides it being rotated 90 degrees, that's not it. ;)

Hi

On a 1708 Xbox controller it is my understanding that both potentiometers on a stick are 10.3k Ohm so why are the Hall Sensor thumbsticks supplied with 2 types of sensor?

Images from AliExpress listings

Thanks

Site Development / Was unable to get registration email until i swapped email server
« Last post by shoulders on December 29, 2024, 03:49:09 AM »
Hi

I was running my email through a cPanel server and when I first tried to register I could never get the registration email. I am now running a different email server and I successfully resent the activation email and now I am registered.

The email where I click to confirm my email address is sent from an "unknown sender" and this is probably why my cPanel server stopped me ever getting this email into my inbox.

It was about 3-4 months ago I last tried to register so I don't know if there has been an issue and it has been fixed or it was by me swapping email servers that the activation email now can get delivered.

I have seen other people have issues registering to your forum, one in December 2024 said he could not register, but one user does not make a rule.

I have some images but cannot attached them.

I suspect that the "sent from" email address is missing from the email envelope as Outlook is showing "Acidmods Return-Path: admin@acidmods.com Date: Sat <admin@acidmods.com>" and not the from email address

Cheers

Jon

P.s. I hope this is the right place to post, I did have a look at the forum for the best place to post.

Also, all the soldering pads on my RB came off. Where do I link each pin to?

I just replaced my Left stick but after the replacement, the L3 is stuck as pressed. Replaced it with different ones but still the same issue. I think maybe the soldering pad on one is faulty so anywhere I can jump it to.

PS4 Controllers/PS4 Rapid Fire Controllers / Re: DualSense 5 Controller PCB Scans
« Last post by marciolima on December 21, 2024, 08:31:01 PM »
Hi everyone,

I?m modding a DualSense controller (BDM-010) for an arcade stick and ran into an issue with the L2/R2 inputs. I noticed that L2 and R2 work with a voltage divider, setting the signal to ~0.9V at rest (instead of using a pull-up resistor).

I replicated this using two 10k resistors to create a similar voltage divider, and it works fine? but only if the BWL-010 board is connected during the controller's initialization. If I remove the BWL-010, the controller doesn't properly initialize.

Does anyone know why the BWL-010 is required at startup? Is it sending some kind of signal or specific resistance values the main board checks?

Any tips on how to bypass this dependency or emulate the BWL-010?s function would be awesome!

Thanks in advance!

Hello, I hope you are well, as Subjetct already says, I am facing a problem when repairing an Xbox One Slim 1708 controller, every time I press the left trigger, the left analog stick moves up, has anyone experienced this? Could something like this help me solve this problem please?
