PIC and Programming?
« on: May 14, 2009, 03:17:42 AM »
Hey,

I want to make my own rapid fire controller using a PIC and custom programming, but it's so confusing trying to find the information I seek.

What I would like to do is program 2 separate PIC chips to put in my controller. Both would have the same programming, but one would be connected to the right trigger, and the other connected to the left trigger, allowing you to change modes for each trigger individually, via 2 push buttons on the bottom of the controller.

I'm not sure if it is possible, but I would like to have 10 modes for each chip.

   1. Full Rapid - Fastest Setting (For Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3)
   2. Full Rapid - Extremely Fast
   3. Full Rapid - Very, Very, Fast (Fastest speed for Call of Duty 5 that is undetectable)
   4. Full Rapid - Very Fast
   5. Full Rapid - Fast
   6. Burst Rapid - Fastest 3 Round Burst Setting (Works on Call of Duty 5 and 4)
   7. Burst Rapid - Extremely fast 3 Round Burst Setting
   8. Burst Rapid - Very, Very, Fast 3 Round Burst Setting
   9. Burst Rapid - Very Fast 3 Round Burst Setting
  10. Burst Rapid - Fast 3 Round Burst Setting

Can anyone please tell me what PIC chips are the best to use for this mod, what software and hardware to use to program the chips, and if anyone here can write the code for me?

Thanks! :)
