LOST TRACE ON CG2 XBOX 360 CONTROLER
« on: August 21, 2019, 08:10:03 AM »
Hello people someone can help me?

I'm very beginner

I changed the left potentiometer of my xbox control, but when removing the solder, I lost the track responsible for doing the up low function, where can I make a jumper to recover this track?

I tried to make a jumper and scrape the area but was unsuccessful.

The bottom POT connection you can just jumper wire to the solder lug below it.
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.

Hello DRC, thanks for your reply.

Would the jumper be from this POT, for the potentiometer?

I already tried it that way and couldn't make it work.

No. The top of the jumper wire is correct, the bottom of it needs to go to the spot that is just to the left there.

No, just below that, the big solder lug, attach the wire to that.

The bottom lead of 3 at the POT is Ground, you have that part of the idea right. Just solder a jumper wire from that bottom lead to the the solder lug, the big metal thing sticking up out of the board, of the stick that is right there. To the left of your red line, and below the yellow one.
