PROJECT: Nintendo Ds lite grip mod UPDATE: Its done

Well, I get tired of how the Ds lite bottom corners dig into my palms, and Its not that confortatble either (Like, when you really into the game) So, Im going to try to do this

Heres whats going on so far:









not much right now, but It will get better, Just like PvPs psp grip Mod

Its toghter, now to clean it up, fill in gaps etc

I would have suggested getting a big controller, either from onr of those Tv video games, or like a ps1 controller, and remove it's guts, then cut a square just to set your ds in, making holes and slots for the headset, slot cover, and stylus. Then you can probably get some kind of rubbery material, like silcone placed in the square to keep the ds snug and secure. Then again, theres a grip already sold in gamestops that even carry an extra battery inside for your ds. Good luck on this, mate. Hope you can make a nice, kick-ass looking grip .

I thought this was going to be a dettachble grip, but in any case, it would be very sick to add an analog to the mix, hehe. I really hope you pull this off, I'd probably ask for help to try it myself if it really comes out tight

Good luck,I tried something like this,but much harder,with no avail.It was a whole ds integrated into a 64 con...didn't happen.No con and no case now ^_^

Ouchies, mate. Well it'd be cool to use something like the PS2 rumble, but only if it didn't make your whole ds shake like an earthquake, so I'm guessing you might have to find an old cellphone, break it apart, and get the vibrator some in there.

i remember a while back, i bought a grip kit for my phat ds that youd just clip on the back, but this is a whole different story

are they permanent or can they be put on/taken off when wanted?

if theyre perm then it destroys the whole compact pocket fitting design

For rumble search instructables for ds rumble.You just need a pic a rumble and some other stuff.Looking good so far,good idea to use the n64 grip,practice with bondo(polyphiller?) to make your grip look stock and then paint it.

And why don't you solder the N64 3D-stick to your D-Pad? the third Grip in the middle would be great, screw the GBA slot and do this :>

I will later, but the cam makes it seem like bubbles around the edges, plus the paint has the sparkle color thing
