Power Switch to Face Button Rewire Mod

Introduction
This mod allows you to move the function, of powering on and off with the power/hold switch, to the face buttons, depicted in this tutorial as the sound button. But, with a little investigation, it would be possible to map the function to any face button.


Parts/Tools Needed
--Power Board
--Soldering Iron
--Some Kynar wire
--A PSP to test it out
--A X-acto knife(or something like that)

This does disable the use of your normal power switch AND note button 

 
Step By Step Tutorial
1. DISASSEMBLE THE PSP AND REMOVE THE POWER BOARD
Just as it says, check out this tut to find out exactly how to disassemble the PSP.

2. PREPARE THE POWER BOARD

First, remove the insulating paint from the power board and cut the trace, as shown. Make sure you don't cut any other trace.

Now solder one end of your Kynar wire length, to the spot you just scratched, and cut.

Now, flip the board and scrape away the paint, and cut the trace, as shown here.

Now, solder the other end of the Kynar wire length to the spot you just scraped and cut.

3. REASSEMBLE THE PSP, TEST, AND ENJOY!
Now your done, put it all back together, and enjoy your cool face power button, and if you have any questions, feel free to go on the forums and ask!
