Laser cant focus
« on: February 24, 2008, 04:41:22 AM »
Hello guys. Quite a while ago i messed up the trigger mod, it shorted and since then my umd drive stopped working. I have been trying hard to fix it and looks like i finnaly found the problem. The laser cannot focus. It lights up, the motor spins but the laser head keeps on going up and down and the umd doesnt load. I tried cleaning the laser numerous times, and today i even took apart the umd drive completly and reasambled it but it didnt fix the problem. Any suggestions?

Can U tell me which parts U were soldering for the trigger mod?

Some pictures would help 2.

you could always remove the UMD and then do some mods in your saved space  :w00t:

i used the powerboard as a power supply for the trigger mod, unfortunately i was stupid enough to use the crappy magnet wire which probably shorted somewhere as I put the lcd support cage on,
