well do you reckon it would be okay or (legal) if i get my brother a 200nW red laser do you think he's do young, well i kno the illegal in netherland nad norweigan but think i live in australia

so do you think hes to young?

edit: i just found out that the australia customs banning any 1nw lasers in nsw australia

edit: just found it starts the ban tommorow

lasers have been completely banned in aus and you can only "import" >5mw. any lasers that come into the us must be fda approved and have an assencion number(for pointers) and a 5 point safety system for <5mw. us only has rules for importation but they leave it up to local government to regulate things such as DIY lasers. if you do order a laser use the cheapest method b/c they can be confiscated by customs. you can build your own laser with the red diode from a 18-22x dvd burner or a blu ray burner drive. the old xbox hd dvd add ons had a special laser diode in them(violet) that can be overdriven to make a burning blu ray laser as well.

i ordered myself a 30mw a short time ago.. quite nice... i ordered 2 300mw red ones 3-4 days ago too... havent posted them yet....

atleast they are not illegal in estonia.. yet....

and US has very tough laws against lasers iirc

in ireland theres no import laws on lasers at all,although they can be taken off you by police if you are using it in a public place or in a dangerous manor,or both!

wicked lasers sells under spec lasers besides the fact that they dont know crap about lasers. a member of another forum asked a support person about a 405nm(blu ray) laser and the support person told them 405nm lasers were DPSS(diode pumped solid state). 405nm is not DPSS. its a laser diode just like a red diode only different wavelength. basically they dont know crap about what they sell. i wouldnt buy any thing from them. if you want a laser thats in spec and outputs what its rated at + some go with laserglow, laser wave, cni lasers, or optotronics. oem laser systems is a very good company as well. i just bought a pair of their ml-7 laser safety glasses in a GB on another forum.

this is NOT a 2000$ laser. lol i built this myself with a sonar case i got on another forum and the total cost was under 300$. not to mention its way more powerful than the one from wicked.
