umd door led

i need help on putting 4 leds on the umd door, one in each corner. i want to know if this will work

connecting all the leds together and the last two wires (where the + and the -) get connected to the + and - points. 

Do i need a resister for it since im going to use red and uv purple leds on it?

i would try to hook them up parrelell so if one dies the others still work
