 OK ALL this is 1,712 out of 10 difficulty

 Word from the wise(a$$)

I am currently in the process of doing this... I will post pics if I am successfull.

I have everthing soldered in with 30AWG Kynar but the PSP(slim) still does not detect the camera. I have checked for shorts etc..

I am still about 1 or 1.5mm over for clearance to get the case to close properly.

The USB port connections looks easy enough to solder to but the connections are so close together!!! You end up bridging pins inadvertently.

I have all the proper tools and thought this out way before hand.

If anyone has any suggestions please post or pm me. My kynar connections are about 5" long because they need to be for the wire routing and device placement.

My PSP still boots etc but just doesn't see the cam..

I wired up all 7 pins... 5 for USB and 2 for external power (the gold pins on right and left of USB connector)

-Mike

The mod is easy...the only problems I ever had was blowing the camera or accidentally hitting the fpc with my soldering iron and burning right through it >_>;;
