Im Sad To Report A New MoBo

it has been modified to only allow an ipl that is signed by sony. which now means that if you have a ta-088 v3 mobo, you cannot run cfw. i would not expect a solutuion for a long time. this is a grim day for softmodders around the world.

i dont know if this has been posted, but i did a search and turned up nothing. this would solve some pandora problems that have been coming along lately.

Original Text: TA-088v3: is shipped with official firmware 4.01, it is assumed (and highly likley) battery EEPROM flashing will be disabled. Although a Pandora battery will still attempt to boot the Initial Program Load from memory stick, the preipl microcode exploit Despertar Del Cementario was using has been patched meaning only IPL's Digitally signed by Sony will boot from memory stick. Currently, installing custom firmware on the TA-088v3 motherboard is not possible.

OH boy. Can't someone fake sign it? Like take the digital signature off of the surrent ipl and like, copy it to the new one? Lol

i was thinking the same thing, surely after all this hacking DaX can just rip the Sony signature.

omg i am the third person who thinks the same lol..... but as far as i know that if any ipl is edited its signature gets broken its like a warrent sticker..... and i have no idea how the signatures are made into the ipl and on what bases but its almost the same as idstorage's umd keys... its just a random data that is generated but no one (except sony) know on what bases it is generated ... but the way umd keys regenration was discovered there must be a way to fake sign stuff and if there is we wont be needing CWF we could just sign homebrew apps so that it runs on OFW .... sooo yea its pretty complicated stuff...

i understand what you are saying, but i dont think they could get the sony signature. im probaably wrong tho.

coz i've just bought new PSP Slim Matte Bronze and get TA-088(v2) mobo which cant pandoras battery using softmod method :sadno:

now i'm feeling relief coz didnt get TA-088(v3) :yess:

naaah i'm gonna sell/trade it with the mobo does accept battery softmod :sadno:

otherwise i'm gonna buy extra battery from DX and doing hardmod :laughing:

could you give me the mobo list that accept pandora battery softmod method?

i found out the mobo version that doesnt support softmod is ta-085 v2 :victory:

gonna search the PSP with mobo version lower than ta-085 v2, hard to do but challenging :laughing:

hope doesnt end with buying datel pandora battery :beg:
