Sleeper install mess up Wireless headset?
« on: August 21, 2008, 12:03:55 PM »
Ok so i Installed the sleeper and it was going fine, now for some reason my wireless headset will not sync to the number 1 spot on my xbox with my controller, it was working fine before but it just stopped this morning any ideas?  I've tried it on another controller and it works fine, the only difference in controllers are the sleeper mod chip, any ideas?  I've tried it on my other 360 as well and still will not sync together, it's the new controller.

Just an FYI, that crap right up there, the name after EVERY post, pisses a lot of members off. Like me^^

Oh, and make sure there's no solder blobs any where on the board or anything bridged. You screwed something up with your install, because the sleeper has nothing to do with the headset.

Yeah thats why I was asking, but it was working fine with the sleeper and everything for about a week or two then quit.  And as for my name at the end of my post I have been doing it every since I started posting on forums and will do it till I quit, it's just how I am don't want to change it.

And I don't think that yall are getting the fact that I did nothing to the controller and it just wouldn't sync up today, I haven't opened it since i move a wire a couple days ago, and they would sync to each other fine, last night it was working fine, today I go to play and neither would sync up.

Um sorry that putting my name at the end of my post pissed you off, I don't think it was anything that I did or the chip, I think it might just be one of them things, I think I'm going to switch the chip and put it in another controller and use it because the mic and controller sync up fine.

I just took it out and switched controllers, and plan on using that controller for test mods, it's working fine on my other controller, and this morning I switched the d pad and it's just like my old one accept the grip isn't as worn, al be it my other controller wasn't but like 3 months old, but still good to get a new one out the box.

I know right, I think he's just on a "I have 3K+ post and I'm 15 years old so I think I'm the stuff" high, little does he know that having 3k+ post on a forums makes no difference since he's not a mod, all it means is that he has no life, an spends way to much time on the pc. No offense, but I don't just make it up.

Back on this subject, I was playing with a friend today and he bought a rapid fire controller from a website, and his wireless mic went out after about 5 days of use also, idk what kind of chip he has, or anything like that but I do know that his wireless mic will not sync up just like mine, there may be an issues going on in rare cases that it actully messes up the ability to sync to the controller. But I'm not 100%  certain on that, and since switching to my new controller still a GC I've had no issues, and my buddyes with the matrix haven't had any probs and I installed the chips on theres the same day.
