HOW DO YOU MAKE SPEAKER LOUDER!!!

i have done the speaker mod and tried lots of speakers but they all go quiet. But they are loud when they were in the things i pulled them out of  please help i dont know what to do

You need to use the LM386 sound chip or it won't do anything...

Yeah you need to put an operational amplifier, better if it is an specific sound amplifier, lm386 is an option, but there much more amps better than that, though as long as it is quite simple could be a good chance. I don't know go to mouser, digikey, spurkfun, shops like those you will find plenty of amps. Also read the datasheets of the amps, they show common diagrams that will show you where to put the caps you will have to use for decoupling noise, resistors, etc.

Just get the LM386 from radioshack. It's easiest and we have tuts on how to do it.

the easiest way is just connect your speaker directly to a speaker!
it been proven a psp can power a 110 watt speaker and i tryed it my self and it does!*sexy subwoffer* but batter died 2min later*

It does work. But that doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be any louder. In fact, it should'nt be any louder unless you use an audio amp.

you might lose stereo capabilities,but if you joine the + of the left speaker to the + of the right speaker,and same with the - of each,the resistance on the circuit is halved and therefore should be twice as loud

i did the prof a while bak that connecting directly is cleaner then using the audio chip.
plus audio chip killed the battery faster:) lol!
audio chip is meh for me! direct connection ftw

you can find amps in just about anything with a loud speaker. For instance, I found two LM324D quad core amps in a motorola walkie talkie. I also found some smaller amp that I've never heard of in a smaller walkie talkie. I got my LM386 out of a SnapCircuits kit that my mom bought me for my birthday 4-5 years back.
