Anyone that calls themself a hacker openly is usually not a hacker.
The term gray hat means, at least in my words is someone who hacks for their own personal gain but rarely are they malicious and usually are very ethical when it comes to the hack.Black hats are people that ethically don’t care if they are doing something bad and typically hack with malice intent.This is true in most cases. However I would point out that real hackers have a hard time not telling someone about their exploits. Most people that call themselves hackers are nothing more then scrip kiddies that learned how to run a program Joe blow made and cause brief but unlasting trouble.
trust me when I say that everyone should know the difference. Its to bad however the stigma that real (and I hate this word btw) hacker's get from them little kiddies..
I thought black hats were people who hack for company's to improve security I understand its just a term with no real meaning but just my 2 cents
