I have done many mods but this is the only picture I have on my computer right now.
Blue tiger w/blue ROL LEDs, red rumble xbox guide button, and 3 mode rapid-fire.

Well, I'd love to see the tut for kingmikes leds, but cant find it.
Heres my controller, Ive used an extra Yellow "Y" button for my rapidfire trigger.
I thought it would look kind of good to get "Red Tiger" effect from CoD4

Sorry i been away from home for a short while working.
It takes about 20 mins to make the button.
You just need an old knackered controller.
pick the button you want to use.
Use a dremmel or similar to carve out the guide tube.
A little hot glue....Modders best friend :)
stick it together then solder your tactile switch to a little strip board and glue the lot to that so your tactile is inside the guide tube.

works a treat too  :w00t:

My first controller mod.
Switched out the LB RB, start, back, d-pad, analog sticks, battery pack, and bottom to black.
Installed COD5 Rapid Fire Dual 4-Mode Trigger Kit, used different buttons though.
Will soon be swapping the LED's to blue.

good job ben, those leds are not the easiest to start off with.

Ghost, in your pic it appears you get power from the rumble pack on a matrix board? hows that working out for you? I would assume that would supply the full 3v, but only when the rumble is active? just curious, never really thought of it. but it does give ideas!! there must be a microsecond delay though.

sorry for the late reply, no its not getting the power from the rumble, a wire is soldered to a +2 -> 3v outside the picture to the left. The wires soldered to the rumble is auctualy the rumble itself, by removing the socket and soldering it on I managed to create plenty of mounting space for the chip.

Nice. I was wondering how the paint job is since I've been using Duplicolor and it's been perfect, but it only comes in a few colors. What brand did you use?

I will check the brand when I get home.it was expensive paint for plastics. not exactly sure, she bought it. LOL

the bigest thing with paint as I am sure you know is prepwork. the controller needs to be smooth, but not slick. I use a scuff pad from any paint store, 3000 grit steel wool works nice also. this will take that slick feel and shine off the controller without any scratches, then clean it all with a degreaser (rubbing alcohol works too), careful not to touch the surface to be painted with your hands, because your skin has oils on it you cant see that can affect the paint.
ghost, I am sure u know all of the above info, it was ment for newer members LOL

those orange leds are cool, the pic dosnt do it any justice. I wish I would have ordered more of them.

I got the viking mod done today. overall this is a nice product, works as advertised. hope there is more to come from the programer. it is not an easy install. the controller is not much but it fires very fast at cod5!!

the tact switches dont fit where I have them, I had to shave them and shave the controller to get them to fit there. I also had to shave alot out of the back of the controller wher the chip is placed to get it to sit flat. it was alot of work, but is a cool mod.

heres 1 of my pads its a elite with a programmable speed rf, blue rol and dome and lit ABXY, the 3 extra buttons on the back are for rf, the rf kit itself is immence it works on button or trigger it also works as a 3 shot burst kit on right trigger or button but not left. and you can program any speed from1 sps to 50 in incremantas of 0.1 sps (go any fast then this and the pad dosnt register rf) awell as all the modes it has led indication, first the led flashes at the speed your shooting when your shooting and it also flashes at different intervals to tell you wot mode your in either on buttons, 1 trigger, 2 trigger or burst mode whenin trigger mode the extra rf button acts as a quick on/off for the trigger

here another pad of mine

it has hazers four mode on button kit, with speeds for halo cod4 cod5 and gears1+2
also i fitted a multi colored rol to match th ABXY which are lit and a lit dome (i used white leds in the dome , hoping it would be white but know its a dodgy green , but still looks good)
i dont have any pics of the back of it but i used the same buttons as in the elite pad of mine but only 2 of them.

this is my latest pad it's got the same rf as the elite pad but this time i wired a second smd led to player4 for rf indication light
also a blue rol and dome and a new mod im playing around with back lit triggers( i want to light the triggers but cant get hold of any transparent 1's)

and this is how i wired the red rf indication led for any1 who wants to giv it a go. i've not tried it with 3 / 4mode  sleeper and on button kits but it should work the same as this programmable of mine

this is a early pad of mine i put some blue led's and a sleeper kit in. also it's a wired pad so the led's are realy bright

yeah thats pretty much all of my pad mods worth showin off so far

i am workin on a ps2 dpad in a 360 pad but only time will tell if i get it to the point where im happy to take pic's of it n get the wiring sorted

hi yeah the abxy and dome can either be lit constant or turn on wit the pad just a case of where to wire them to. if u use the same + as the rf kit's it should turn on with the pad on cg but i aint found a pin out on a mtrix that works the same as this at full voltage.
