For the controller? or the ps3? Maybe the controller, but not the ps3 (at least not until the 90 day warranty is up)

i had mine replaced 2 times. but it was still in the 90 day warrenty. they wont send you a brand new ps3. though if you complain, they can give you a new full body housing. they will fix or repair your ps3 from salvaged parts.

I don't care about a new case because in my situation it's going to get scratched awayways. There's like no way it's NOT going to scratched.

To be honest, I'd rather pay $100 extra for a ps3 that is new, and hasn't been refurbed.

In all seriousness though, I have no intention of purchasing a ps3, I had a 60gb release model, I sold it month or two ago for £360, and now I almost have a cnc machine.

Nope, it's not like that at all, my friend's done the exact same thing and he got sent a literally brand new one. Despite the fact that it's refurbished, it is still as if it were new.

or buy a sp3 with busted blu-ray drive for like 150-180 and replace the drive for like 70-90 bucks.

That's excatly what mine had, but I was lazy and I had extra cash laying around so I sent it to sony :P

No the guys COULD fix it BUT I would have to wait 2-3 weeks AND pay $160. I didn't trust them either, they left broken consoles in the middle of the floor in plain sight in a bad neighborhood. I decided to go the safe route.

I got my ps3! I picked it up at the ups station at 10:00 am. I'll post pics later I'm too busy playing

EDIT: I also got my photofast adaptor for my psp today! Yea for 16gb's
