I heard some people are making a new version of one that went into the PSP's headphone jack, but I'm not sure.

Yes, good idea but I consider the psp os won't recognize it,

perhaps we should add something inside our psp?

Yes, good idea but I consider the psp os won't recognize it,

why need to make it go through the os, when you can just hard wire it to any controlls on the psp.

I'm pretty sure its controlled by an CFW Plugin which you have to code your self

you wanna hook this up to the R and L triggers right? go to your local electronics shop and ask the people behind the counter if they have any roller ball tilt switches. make sure theyre tilt=close not tilt=open. make sure theyre small enough to fit inside the psp. wire em to the R&L and your done, no worries going through the serial port, or coding anything. easy install

You might be able to code a plugin to take input from this :psp:. I know some games use it. Heres the link:

if he uses a peripheral device, thats just one more thing he has to carry around in his pocket, if he makes it all internal and throws a switch into the batt. compartment he wouldnt have to carry anything extra and he could just switch it on and off easily.

I know its not perfect but it is a working device! Anyway, does anyone know what kind of internal sensor the iPhone has? That is very effective and it works well in games!

they use an accelerometer, not sure what the more specific name for it is, but it produces variables, like analog, that would work better for the analog stick

yes true but by hardwiring something you make it ack as a second controll for that particular part, eg. like a dual nub. This could work if you made a tilt controller which controlled 4 switches.

Yes, that is hard mod, perhaps we can wire it on analog digital?

That is the only thing that control up down left right..

wrong again, you could use it on X[]0/\ good for fps games you could tilt the psp to look around. And it may be able to be used on analog by soldering to the homebar buttons and using remapsp to remap to analog (Not sure)

 d pad is not sensitive, once goes left, it only left,

but analog digital, slightly pressed, can move slowly,

hardly pressed: maximum movement,

idk, that is my opinion..

you can hook up a digital tilt sensor to the analog...leave the analog in the current position and just get the pinouts for what two combinations produce what direction. just hook it uo to those two for that direction. but you need the analog to still be in place so it has the neutral resistance

this seems the most simple and effective way it should work perfectly
