« on: December 16, 2008, 06:16:30 PM »
1. How would i solder 15 leds on one amp.
2. I want to put in 2 5mm UV and 2 5mm Red leds. Can i just solder them same as 0603 leds?
3. Do i solder 3,4 left pins with resistors to just one speaker ?

1. You take one wire leading to the positive, then you take 15 wires, solder those wires to the one wire, and then solder all your positives to the positives of the leds. Then you do the same for the negatives.
2. You mean method? Well I think you just solder the wire onto the lead....
3. Yeah, one to positive one to negative... If you're asking about the two wires with resistors. I have no clue what pins 3 and 4 are for, but you said with resistors, so yeah.

Yeah no problem... I'm still a noob at modding but I've been reading, so I know basics. I'd love to know how you do it though!

yes i kno the pics r crappy but ya that is the best i could do quick i will redo them tomorrow when i finish the whole thing i still have to wire the 3 leds on the bottom

but this is wat i do
take the first led wire it up strip the wires from it then position it get my second led wire it position it then strip some of the insulation towards the top wrap led1's wire onto that and then solder and do that to all my leds until i get 2 wires my positive and negative that go to my lm386 chip

will all the wires fit in psp....if the insulation of the wire touches the mobo or other boards nothing happens right...just the open metal cant be touching right.

EDIT
i made the diagram
were it is gray i stipped the wire on the first led i stripped the tips of the wire on the second i stripped the middle then connected them positive to positive and negative to negative and then soldered

LOOKING SEXY! lol i just noticed that those 2 UV leds and Red that i got are different...one is brighter then the other ....
so i just need to strip of insulation and then solder other leds where insulation is off right? so its like a tree branch?
Ok if i want 5mm leds ...where do i solder the resistors on?

You solder the resistor somewhere on the positive side... And to make your own jewel isn't hard, but you can't quality engrave it. Members have used all sorts of ways to make custom jewels, like CD cases, folder covers, and even pringle caps...

well u would have to pay the shop the same and go to the site i posted its a shop just ask around in there u have to be a member

and for the 5mm u could solder the resistor directly on the positive lead or add wire then add the resistors its up to u
it depends if u just want a clear one or one wit a design
just clear not to hard wit design really hard
