razor nub with power plug

im putting a second nub on a psp 1000, and just wanted to know if it is possible to do it with out taking out the ac adapter.

it isnt easy too find any tut's on the subject and the one french tut shows the ac adappter removed on a phat, personally i feel that i must keep it otherwise how do i charge it? so is it possible to squezze it all in there?

but you still can charge it if you do the razor x by doing the usb charge mod which charges the psp via usb because the nub cant fit if the ac is in there.
and you can also convert your wall ac adapter thing to work with your usb but i dunno where that tut went :I

helps a lot, however i did get those ideas, but its always nice to be reassured before i start breaking my toys  :w00t:

one question though, what is that analoog stick from pspgen? is that a sony erickson? or something else? cause' i'd rather go that route.

anybody want an assembled razor?

well, its a 4 way joystick from c&k components and thats all i kno :I
I actually bought one from here http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts-kws/e-switch-navigation-joystick
it also feels a little stiffer then the stock nub but wtvr
im going to install it later today :D

i actually have one of those out of a portable DVD player that me and a friend used to make our portable Dreamcast. I did think at one time to install it in the PSP but wasnt sure. I think i am actually going to do it, i think it would actually feel better than the razor, as well as more responsive.

i got the  board from here: http://www.coolmods.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=23_41
and the analog off ebay its all tinned and assembled with an elastic mod for auto centering (home made:  i didnt see the tuts until after i already made my auto center)
