no it's not, it's compatible with xbox/ps2/gamecube and it's wireless.  All with one adaptor.

I have the brand new 80gb PS3 the one you can buy right now it doesnt have backward compatibility -.-

ouch. I had to jump thru some many loops just to get my 60gb ps3 (which is coming in 3 day btw) but it was sooooooooooooooooooooo worth it.  I need those features such as memory slots an ps2 playback.  It wouldn't a console to me unless it had them.

i kept looking for those in game stop near me there was 1 next day i went to go get it

you can have them order it thru the website.  If it's not too late you can return yours and pay an extra (I think) $20 and you and got yourself one.
