Where to route wires from UMD Door?
« on: January 31, 2009, 07:14:47 PM »
How the heck do I route wires from the UMD door? If I were to use a full clear case, how would I get the wires out of the way? Even then, how would I route wires to actually get into the psp?

wireless leds, its the way of the future.

no thats your man above, his routing is pretty tidy. You have to get the wires out somehow, traveling in straight lines and the only turns should be at 90' makes it look really well sorted. If you have it like curling in the umd door people are gona be like wth.

Yeah you've got very nice routing :) Anyway, this is for slim (which is why it's in the psp 2000 section). Just wondering how i'd get it somehow into the psp, as the umd door area is sorta seperated from the rest of the psp with a UMD Drive.

If you have put your wires trough this hole, you have to work go on the other site of the Backplate ^^

Here is a nice example: (a psp modded from me :P)

Well basically I have to drill a hole in the back of the UMD drive and the backplate right? Are there any ways that don't need drilling?

There's already a hole in the umd drive though, isn't there? I still need to drill a hole into the backplate though, don't I?

Usually when I wire leds in the door, I wire them in a continuous length of wire. If you do that, you can use the hinge hole since it is just two wires (positive and negative)
