Wii and HDMI video
« on: February 03, 2009, 11:48:39 AM »
I need some help.  :help:

I am trying to help a co-worker upgrade his entertainment system.  He just upgraded his Projector to HD and has upgraded all the other equipment to use HDMI. He currently has his DVD player, 360, and cable box all connecting to his receiver with HDMI cables and a 35 foot HDMI cable running to his projector. The only device that he has not been able to get to work is his Wii.

I have not been able to find a HDMI setup for the Wii and I have found some converters but they are running around $200.
I tried searching for some mods for HDMI but either my searchfu is getting rusty or they don’t exist. :faint:
Is there any cheap way to get the Wii to work with HDMI? Even if it’s just the video as the audio is going through a sound system.

It's neither, the Wii does not originally have an HDMI output and I believe it can only display up to 480p.

not really......the graphics arent going to be upgraded by pluing in a different cable it needs to have a better graphics card to have better graphics it supports 480P but thats preety much still standard
