2n222 NPN transistor question

i want to do the version of folklord's new way to do SR..

so he's using a 2n222 NPN transistor right..

so what other transistors can i use besides this?

i've seen other 2n2***(i forgot their respective numbers though)

so can i use them for this mods??

He's using 2n2222 NPN transistors. Can you not find any?

You can find the 2n2222 at radioshack. Best think is they are a dime a dozen. You can get a pack of 15 assorted transistors that contains 5 of the 2n2222. It's only like a dollar somthing.

But no I don't think transistors of different values will work. They can be quite picky.

eh you mean transistors,
just go for the 2n2222.

You can use 2N222 though, I checked the datasheets, on paper it should work

Yep I'd just go for the 2n2222 simply because it's tested to work. You can experiment with others if you'd like though.

i had problems trying to do the 2n2222 mod on a phat. the transisor kept wanting to short out the speaker and cause it to shut off, and tried for hours and couldnt get it to work.. i was thinking it need resistance somewhere but was too lazy to find out lol. So i just ended up making a new mod with the LM386 to get 3 modes out of it  :tup:
