yeh it isnt the patch thats the problem as that stops you getting it in the first place - its the people who it has already infected

Most people. (computer Retards don't update there PCs) Hence over 20million PCs are infected.  Also this is very epic... I can't wait to see what will happen next. When your as Sexy as me On updating and backing up. This wont be a Problem also I love My AV. its very Sexy. also I have Updated scanners. and patches. So every PC I touch is Safe from harm.  :winker:

i've heard estimates of around 3million , doesn't 20 million sound a bit too high ? In anycase the computer noobs will still manage to eff up their computer with some virus or the other whereas the smart ones who use firewalls and are generally careful will still be safe .

Sure 20 does sound I bit high. But you gotta think about the people that havnt Reported anything. Or even the Skeptics. lol I believe its around 5+million. But I like to make things sound Worse.

3 million is the lowest estimate and from what i have heard thats just for conficker c there are about 3-4 other varients of it as well

Damn... LOL at school the other day all computers attempting to access google got the error "sorry, but your search query seems to be very similar to a spam bot. Your search has been denied"... Something close to that. Either way, it was implied the computers at school were bots, and they were all denied access. Whether or not this is Conficker though, I dunno, but it was epic.

Nothing happened, I'm not sure where I read this but I read an article with the headline "Conficker sends out homing signal, but no one on the other end replys"  or something along those lines. I haven't heard much of the dreaded conficker since. It's been pretty quiet.

im pretty sure i got hit by it, my desktop said on the screen "shutting down in 5,4,3,2,1" then shut down. i switched it back on and all it said was "acer" so i unplugged my hdd and put it in a usb caddy thingy and it found the drive on my laptop, i right-clicked th hdd and it said 120gb space left... my drive is 120gb :(
