2 RRoD - 3 RRoD

can anyone help me on getting my xbox that has the no picture thing then going to the 2 RRoD to having the 3 RRoD so then i can get it repaired for free cos i dont want to have to take this one appart =/ so any ideas would be good and i have tried wrapping in a towel it just gets realy realy warm lol

ive run out of the 1 year warranty so i can only get it repaired if i get th e3 red rings or the e74 error which i dont have so how do i get this lol

wrap it in a towel. Turn it on for a couple of hours. And keep an eye on it so you dont set your house on fire :P.

the two lights mean that it has overheated and it turns everything off.

The towel trick is not going to do much except let you play your xbox for a couple of hours before it happens again, as well as damage parts that weren't damaged before.  Either do an xclamp repair, or take your chances by sending it to M$ and hope it is RROD when they test it.

The towel trick is just a trick, it is not a very good method for repair.

i think ime gona have to just send it in for repair hope they send a new 1 or fix it and it isnt the end of the world if i end up having to pay £50 cos i got it for free

He doesn't want to fix it himself, he wants MS to without paying anything.

He wants to break it (3RL), because 2RL isn't covered by MS. My mate had to pay £50 recently to get his 2RL problem fixed by MS.

To break it, towel it xD.

As horrible as it sounds, using the towel trick to induce 3RL is WARRANTY FRAUD.

unfortanately we dont talk about warranty fraud here cuz its ILLEGAL.

Rory: no one needs it spelled out cuz that is against the rules.  Be a little more subtle next time you tell someone how to commit fraud and I might not have to lock that thread.
