ok so got a 360 here thats not giving a code????

ok i got a 360 here it will boot up fine lets you play a game then about 20 minutes later it freezes then the screen goes black anyone got a clue should i just do the rrod fix on it and see if that helps or what any help greatly appriciated

I had one do that it was a scaler chip only covered in the first year of watanty. my screen di not go black it froze, got these wierd lines in it, and the colors were off.

so should i just reflow the motherboard with a heatgun will that fix it or is the chip just going bad in it?

I am assuming its no longer under waranty. before I sent mine in for repair, I over heated it with a towel, and it seemed to fix it. however I still sent it in th MS anyway...why not... SO to answer you question, thats what I would do if it was not covered under waranty.

      I had this problem happened to me twice with two different 360 consoles. After doing a bit of searching around, it came to the conclusion that by performing the regular x-clamp fix process, it would normally fix the problem. Please, keep in mind that the x-clamp fix is not a permanent fix, so use at your own discretion.
