lm386 ? about adding a 100 uF capacitor
« on: July 19, 2009, 06:15:42 PM »
I found diagrams on how to install it but they don't show where to connect the capacitor. Is it really recommended to use it or not? What is the differences of using it and not using it ?
Is this a good one ? http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102484

No no you talking about the diagram with adding more speakers. If so you need 100uf 10v though the one in that link is 35v.

You could actually use a capacitor between pins 1 and 5 and that would eliminate the need for the resistors,I couldn't give you the exact size needed because my logic probe is broken and I'd have to measure the voltage range and current.
