alright, so heres my problem.

I sold a marantz RC9500 on ebay. The user recieved it and told me that the screen was flickering and that the unit would just randomly shut off. I then told him that i would refund him if he shipped it back, i consulted my dad who's a technician and he gave me trouble shooting steps and what not.

So I recieved the remote today and NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. THE bastard lied to get me to refund him. However i havent refunded him yet....

What should i do? my ebay page said NO REFUNDS. WHAT DO I DO????

I wouldn't give him the refund...

But, you told him you'd give him a refund regardless of what the page said.

I mean, i can give a refund, but i cant give a full refund, im not taking a loss because he changed his mind.

Give them nothing. They are just trying to take advantage of them, so do it to them first.

But im not like that. He clearly lied right to me and if theres one thing i hate, that is being taken advantage of.ß

also make absolutly sure that the one he sent you is the one you sent him as i have heard storys of people selling stuff on ebay only to have it returned to them for a refund with another different item in the box i.e buying a working ps3 and sending back your old broken one

I already made sure of that. Im saying i shipped the item and recieved a working item even though he told me it is BROKEN. when infact it is working just fine.

Thats a great idea, il do that next time he replies. Il say its either NOTHING or a 25% administrative fee.

send it back to him with no refund, and a letter stating that there were no problems with the item, include a written bill for additional shipping. lol he prolly wont pay it though.

If the refund doesn't go through, and you really don't want to refund him. Go to the post office and ship the item back to him, as charges to be paid by addressee. That way you can send it back to him and he has to pick up the shipping charges.

I've had to do this before, except nobody messes with me... I sent it overnight, tracked, insured, signature required... All at there expense.

I've reached a conclusion and om refunding 300 out of 335... Paypal covers buyers really nice. SCREWS US SELLER EVEN MORE.

If this doesnt work out and i dont get the paypal invoice like he says i should. then il tell him. U know what? im done having this. The deals of. im sending it back to u on monday with all shipping charges to be paid by u. Enjoy ur FULLY Functioning remote. Only reason i said ok to refund was because i thought maybe the remote was actually broken. But since it isnt, doesnt that void the contract of me having to refund him?
